[ts-gen] Re: status update -- on the g++4 road; also x86_64

I received a reply to my piece on the mailing list from last 
night; it appears that I had missed a list configuration 
option to offer a reply to the list, rather than the poster. 
I have amended that setting so that the list is the default 
reply-to entity, but of course direct off list replies remain 
very doable.

As I am uncertain of the poster wanted their identity 
revealed, I have gone through my reply, and elided identifying 
information.
