The problem is somewhat more persistent and much more replicable
than I thought. Replication unfortunetly on a statistical
basis.
This is in more detail what happens frequently in my setup after sending
an order via shim:
tws freezes, that is: no price updates, no orders, no reaction in menues
- best to kill manually, otherwise ther will be ghost orders.
Appearently it is waiting for something since after some unpredictable
time (30 - 120+ minutes) it continues its work,
sending out all orders, has price updates again.
Even though the gui is frozen, the socket connection is still
responsive.
The outcome of feeding another order in this situation
is not predicable.
All other commands work fine.
I tried several workarounds among them:
- giving a wait before the actual order command,
- keeping the socket connection busy with tick events
- reinstalling tws with the newest version.
no success.
Probably this has to be regarded as a tws bug. Any suggestion where to
address this?
Nils
